SparrowShield Weekly Update: Strategic Focus on The Big Six & Key Leadership Additions
Major developments at SparrowShield including the introduction of The Big Six initiative, strategic hires, and significant platform improvements focused on delivering actionable AI intelligence for insurance agents.

Strategic Leadership Expansion
We’re excited to announce that Will Radcliffe has joined Boone Voyage as Chief Revenue Officer. Will brings extensive experience in sales, marketing, go-to-market strategy, and engineering. In his role, he will oversee marketing and sales opportunities across the Boone Voyage portfolio, including SparrowShield, positioning us for accelerated market penetration.
Product Development: The Big Six Initiative
Our development team, now led by Stephen Collins (Boone Voyage VP of Engineering) who has transitioned to focus 100% on SparrowShield, has implemented a strategic pivot in our AI approach. We’re introducing “The Big Six” - a focused collection of mini-forms targeting the most time-consuming aspects of insurance underwriting:
- Attractive nuisances
- Animals and breeds
- Flood risk
- Occupancy type
- Prior claims history
- Roof analysis
This initiative aims to reduce insurance agents’ workload by up to 50% without requiring significant upfront investment in our product. Rather than attempting to solve every insurance concern immediately, we’re applying the 80/20 rule to deliver immediate value where it matters most.
Technical Infrastructure Improvements
Stephen Collins has completed a significant rebuild of app.sparrowshield.com’s AI operations, transitioning from an n8n.io agent-driven backend to a more robust Python pipeline. This enhancement provides:
- Greater stability in AI operations
- More fine-tuned control over AI results
- Improved reliability in carrier guideline processing
- Enhanced real-time data connectivity
Platform Development Progress
Current development efforts are focused on implementing a hierarchical Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system, structuring our platform around Office → Agents → Properties → Underwriting Assessments. This crucial foundation will enable us to launch our public beta.
Marketing and Brand Development
Seth Kingdon of Kingdon Marketing has joined our efforts to enhance SparrowShield’s market presence. Seth’s expertise in SEO and brand communication is driving the development of our new SEO-optimized website, sparrowshield.com.
Key December Milestones
We’ve set ambitious but achievable goals for December 2024:
- Launch of investors.sparrowshield.com by December 13th
- Completion of Account System v1.0 by December 31st
- Release of AI Underwriting v1.1 featuring The Big Six by December 31st
Strategic Vision
Our shift from v0.0 to v1.0 represents more than just technical improvements - it’s a fundamental change in how we deliver value. While our initial AI implementation produced impressive results, our new focus is on delivering actionable intelligence that insurance agents can trust and immediately apply.
The Big Six initiative exemplifies this approach: by helping agents quickly eliminate carriers that fail these critical tests, we’re potentially cutting their workload in half. This targeted approach provides a clear path to expansion, whether to a Big 10 or Big 30 in the future, while delivering immediate, measurable value to our users.
We’re excited about these developments and remain committed to our mission of transforming insurance underwriting through practical, trustworthy AI solutions. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to execute on these initiatives.
